Facilities
Individual studio spaces, help and advice from
resident professional artists; painting in all media; ceramics,
sculpture, mosaic, batik, glass fusion, video, stained glass, metal
work. All materials are provided free. There are two small kilns,
a printing press, mitre cutter, pottery wheels and separate forge
room. A creative writing group meets once a month, led by a volunteer.
Volunteers also accompany individuals to exhibitions, lunchtime
lectures, events.
Courses are run on demand - life drawing, paper making, glass work,
etc.
The studio organises visits to galleries, museums, exhibitions, sketching
days out, and longer cultural excursions for instance to London, Edinburgh
and the Lakes.
